H.4536 requires children to attend school until the age of 18 instead of 17.
This is a violation of individual rights. It is the jurisdiction of the parents or legal guardians to determine whether attending school is in the child’s best interests, not the state’s.
Since 1986 the South Carolina Policy Council Education Foundation has advocated innovative policy ideas that advance the principles of limited government and free enterprise.
