Dallas Woodhouse – Executive Director

Dallas Woodhouse is the Executive Director of the South Carolina Policy Council (SCPC). Reporting to the Board of Directors, he is responsible for managing the overall operations and strategic positioning of the SCPC. Woodhouse leads a staff dedicated to innovative public policy solutions that continue to make the Palmetto State the best in the nation to work, live, play, start a business, raise a family and retire. 

From 2019 to 2022, Woodhouse served with two North Carolina State Policy Network think tanks: the John Locke Foundation and the Civitas Institute. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of the North Carolina Republican Party, during which time he retired its substantial debt, hired a successful team and recruited top candidates. 

Woodhouse is a native of Raleigh and holds a Master of Arts from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Campbell University. He has been a guest on national news broadcasts including Fox News and CNN, as well as been quoted in the New York Times and Washington Post. Dallas is married to the former Christine Ischer, of Oakton Virginia. They have two sons – Jackson and Cooper. Dallas is a long-suffering fan of the NC State Wolfpack.

Bryce FiedlerBryce Fiedler – Senior Policy Analyst

Bryce Fiedler is a native of Orlando, Florida where he attended the University of Central Florida and received a bachelor’s degree in political science in August of 2017. As a student, he got first-hand political experience while interning for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C., and later spent a semester working on local policy issues for a county commissioner in the Central Florida area. Bryce manages the organization’s policy department and ensures the successful delivery of timely research to SCPC members and other stakeholders.

Sam Aaron – Policy Analyst

Sam Aaron, a Palmetto State native, attended the University of South Carolina and received a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in history in late 2021. Sam joined SCPC shortly after graduating and is the organization’s most recent full-time staff member. As a policy analyst, Sam is responsible for tracking important bills and drafting reports that promote SCPC’s limited government principles.

Lindsay ElliotLindsay Elliott – Administrative Director

Lindsay Elliott joined the South Carolina Policy Council in October of 2008. She is responsible for coordinating all speaking requests, working with vendors, managing internal office affairs and maintaining the day-to-day schedule for the President. Prior to joining the Policy Council, Lindsay was a recruiting assistant in the private sector. She worked alongside account managers and recruiters as the link for all internal and external communications. She also coordinated company events and acted as the liaison to more than 100 consultants. Lindsay received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina in 2005.

Rick Brundrett – Editor at The Nerve

Rick Brundrett helped launch The Nerve in January 2010 after spending nearly a dozen years covering South Carolina’s court system for The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C. He also has worked as an investigative reporter for The Greenville News in Greenville, S.C., and as the projects editor for the The Island Packet/Beaufort Gazette newspapers near Hilton Head Island, S.C. In addition, he was a longtime S.C. consultant for the former Court TV cable television program. Rick is a summa cum laude graduate of Central Michigan University and spent the first dozen years of his career working mainly as a police reporter for The Herald-Palladium newspaper in St. Joseph Township, Mich., where he grew up.
