S. 11: This bill changes the South Carolina Hurricane Damage Mitigation Program by adding “flood” to its name and operations, making it the South Carolina Hurricane and Flood Damage Mitigation Program. The additions to the program largely consist of adding flood related terms to the existing program. It also triples the amount of money that the program collects from the Department of Insurance’s premium taxes, from 1 to 3 percent of the total.
